And over the course of the last 50 years, we’ve consistently led the way with new innovations: the world's first high speed dot matrix printer in 1971, the world's thinnest self-contained mobile printer in 2004, and more recently - the first desktop scanner with built-in wireless connectivity.

Our History

Originally founded over 110 years ago in Nagoya, Japan, Brother’s first European base was established in Ireland in 1958. This was at a time when we made a whole range of products, from typewriters to motorbikes!

Brother has been represented in the Nordics since 1968. The Nordic company Brother Nordic A/S was founded 2011 and is part of Brother International Ltd. The Nordic head office is in situated in Copenhagen and has three branches in Oslo, Gothenburg and Helsinki.
