Brother launches with two absolute top-class label printers

The new Brother PT-P900W and PT-P950NW are among the fastest label printers on the market. They are designed for professional users with high demands on the labels, which they produce as part of their work.

It is quite common to talk about top models when describing new cars, printers, PCs or smartphones.

But when it comes to label printers, hearing about top models or top-of-the-line machines is more rare.

However, this is about to change. The new PT-P900W and PT-P950NW from Brother are in fact true top models when it comes to professional label printers.

They are, for example, among the fastest label printers on the market. They can work with the industry's widest tapes, and the PT-P950NW is expandable with unique features such as a touchscreen, wireless Bluetooth and an integrated clock and date function.

First-class functions
Brother PT-P900W and PT-P950NW offer USB and Wi-Fi as standard. With the optional Li-ion battery, the label printers allow for both desktop and portable use.

In addition, the PT-P950NW flagship model offers connection to a wired network allowing several or numerous PCs to access and print labels on it – via Brother’s free P-touch Editor software.

Both label printers have a print speed of 60mm per second, and they can print on tapes with up to 36mm width.

The label printers use the extremely durable laminated TZe tapes that can withstand both sunlight, chemical liquids, extreme temperatures, water and abrasion.

Features that no one else has
Top models are usually “top” because they can do more or they have better functions than those of their competitors or little siblings.

The same applies to the new Brother PT-P950NW, which can be expanded with a smart optional touch panel.

The touchscreen makes operating the label printer as easy as anything. It allows the user to create his own personally designed labels – without the need for a PC connection to the label printer.

Brother PT-P950NW also has a built-in digital clock and calendar that can do so much more than displaying time.

They make it easy to print labels with current and future time stamps. This is convenient when creating labels with, for example, sell-by dates.

Finally, an optional Bluetooth module can be purchased for the PT-P950NW, making it easy to keep a wireless connection between the label printer and smartphones or tablets.

Smart apps and the Cloud
The PT-P900W and PT-P950NW can both utilise Brother’s free iPrint&Label app for designing and printing labels on smartphones and tablets.

This smart app is available in versions for both iOS (iPhone and iPad) and mobiles or tablets with Android operating system. In both cases, communication takes place via wireless Wi-Fi.

Furthermore, Brother offers the free Mobile Cable Label Tool app, which is specifically designed for craftsmen, technicians and engineers within telecom, data, electricity and electronics.

This app works closely together with a database in the Cloud, from where you can download the latest symbols and templates in an instant.

Prices and availability
The two new label printers are ready for sale at Brother’s many dealers across the country from the end of July. Brother PT-P900W will typically cost DKK 2,399 ex VAT (DKK 2,999 incl. VAT)
Brother PT-P950NW will typically cost DKK 3,999 ex VAT (DKK 4,999 incl. VAT).
