New Brother app simplifies installation and operation of products

From now on, you just need a smartphone or tablet at hand to learn more about Brother’s many printers and scanners with the Brother SupportCenter app. The app is free and provides access to e.g. manuals and setup, and you can monitor your printer's ink and toner levels.

 

Most people always carry a smartphone, even when they use printers and scanners at work or in the home.

 

Wouldn’t it be smart to have an app on your phone that could tell you about ink and paper status when you were not physically standing next to the printer?

 

An app that could also help you set up your new all-in-one machine or scanner from Brother? And that included a complete overview of all Brother products - with photos, descriptions and technical specifications?

Brother's new SupportCenter app can do all of these things – and many more. The app is free and available for both Apple iOS and Android.

 

If the Brother product – e.g. an all-in-one printer – is connected to a wireless Wi-Fi network – the app can access the device directly via the Internet, so you can check an error, even if you are thousands of kilometres away – and help the person at the printer install and operate it.

 

The new app provides direct access to support.brother.com. It is easy to use and contains virtually all the information and advice you may need for your Brother machine:

 

• Videos showing setup and operation

• Guidelines and manuals

• Frequently asked questions and answers

• How to adjust user settings on the product

• How to check ink and toner, and reorder directly from a smartphone or tablet

• Contact to Brother Customer Service

 

"Of course, you can say that you prefer not to need the app at all. Brothers products are, in fact, easy to install and operate. But anybody could have a need help, and it’s close at hand – or rather in your hand – if you install the SupportCenter app on your smartphone," explains Nordic Marketing Manager Henning Elkjaer from Brother Nordic A/S.
