Six Brother printers receive international design awards

Not only does Brother make a great effort to ensure that the company's office machines offer high quality, reasonable prices and are among the most environmentally friendly and energy-saving on the market. Brother's products are also exceptionally stylish and user-friendly for which the judges of the International iF Design competition have awarded with six prizes.

Every year in January thousands of companies from around the world are on tenterhooks. They have sent contributions to the great international iF Design competition and hope that their particular products will get through the eye of needle and receive one of the coveted iF Design awards.

January this year was no exception.Thus,the internationally composed jury of design and technology specialists had to review 4,615 proposals from 55 countries before they could pick out the best to receive an iF Design Award.

Brother has participated in the iF Design competition since 1982 and during this time they have received a total of 46 iF prizes.

The 2014 harvest was very good. Brother can put no less than six new awards in the trophy cabinet as proof that Brother products rise above the average of office machines.

iF Design Award, which is based in Hanover, Germany, consider not only the products' appearance. Product functionality, operation and environmentally friendly operation, including recycling friendliness are important elements in the assessment, too.

"It's hard to say whether you sell more printers because you have received an international design award. But an iF Design Award will definitely not damage sales. And particularly in Denmark, which has proud traditions of good design, ease of use and environment, the iF Design Awards could give Brother's products extra points compared to its competitors," says Nordic Marketing Manager Henning Elkjaer from Brother Nordic A/S.

Six Brother products get design award

Brother receive the iF Design Awards 2014 for six products, namely

• Inkjet all-in-one A3 printers Brother MFC-J6920DW and MFC-J6720DW

• Colour laser printer Brother HL-3170CDW

• Mono laser all-in-one machine Brother DCP-1510 and HL-1110 printer

• TD-2000 series of label printers (Brother TD-2020 TD-2120N and TD-2130N)

• Brother labelling machine for craftsmen P-touch PT-E100VP

• The super-fast inkjet office printer Brother HL-S7000DN
